Configuration

Use the following URL as a Browser Source in OBS Studio or Streamlabs Desktop (SLOBS). Copy your own link from the Streamotive dashboard—the example below only shows the format.

In OBS: add a source → Browser → paste the URL. In Streamlabs: add Browser Source and paste the same URL.

After you change platforms, text, or colors in the dashboard, refresh the source in OBS or use the recommended refresh options below so the banner updates.

Recommended OBS Browser Source settings

These settings match a typical 1080p canvas and keep the overlay transparent, reload when you show the scene, and limit OBS permissions.

• URL — Your Streamotive Social Links URL (path looks like /tools/socials?token=…).
• Width — 1920 and Height — 1080 when you stream at 1080p. If your base (canvas) resolution differs, use those numbers instead.
• Local file — unchecked.
• Control audio via OBS — checked if the banner plays sound; many social banners are silent—mute the source or uncheck if you do not need audio.
• Custom CSS — paste:

body { background-color: rgba(0, 0, 0, 0); margin: 0px auto; overflow: hidden; }

• Use custom frame rate — usually leave unchecked.
• Shutdown source when not visible — checked when the source is off-screen between scenes. Uncheck if you see flicker when switching scenes.
• Refresh browser when scene becomes active — checked so each time the scene goes live, the page reloads and picks up dashboard changes.
• Page permissions — prefer the minimum required; a common choice is Read access to OBS status information unless support says otherwise.

Use Refresh cache of current page if the banner still looks stale after saving in Streamotive.

Dashboard: Social media links

In the Streamotive Social Links tool, enable each network you want in the rotating banner. For each platform, enter a handle or a full link, depending on what the field label asks for.

Typical fields include:

• Facebook — Facebook handle or link
• Twitter / X — handle or profile URL (example: Aquillium)
• Instagram — username (example: aquillium)
• TikTok — handle (example: @aquillium)
• YouTube — channel handle or name (example: aquillium)
• Dribbble — Dribbble handle or link
• Soundcloud — Soundcloud handle or link
• Steam — Steam handle or link
• Snapchat — Snapchat handle or link
• Reddit — Reddit handle or link

Only platforms you turn on appear in rotation. Disable ones you are not promoting so the banner stays readable.

Preview

Use the dashboard preview (if available) to check how Social media links look before you go live: logo, label, and your handle or URL should match what viewers will see in OBS. If preview and OBS disagree, refresh the browser source and confirm you saved the dashboard.

Appearance

Font selection

Choose a font that stays legible at small sizes on stream. Avoid overly thin weights on busy backgrounds; test on your actual gameplay or a neutral test pattern.

Colors

• Text color — main color for labels and handles. Pick something that reads on your typical scene (gameplay, BRB, or just chatting).
• Shadow color — outline or shadow behind text to separate it from the game. Stronger shadow (or higher contrast) helps on light or noisy backgrounds.

Adjust both until the banner passes a quick glance test at stream resolution, not only in the dashboard preview.

Quick setup checklist

1. Log in with Twitch and open Social Links in Streamotive.
2. Enable the platforms you want and fill each handle or link field.
3. Set Font selection and colors (text and shadow).
4. Copy the browser source URL, add a Browser Source in OBS/SLOBS, set width/height to your canvas.
5. Paste the Custom CSS block above; enable Shutdown source when not visible and Refresh browser when scene becomes active as needed.
6. Check preview, then confirm the same look in OBS after a refresh.

Rotation

Only enabled entries appear in the cycle. If rotation feels too fast or too busy, turn off platforms you are not using or adjust timing if the dashboard offers it.
