Minecraft ‘Tiny Takeover’ Sponsored Campaign Comes to Twitch

Twitch and Minecraft launch the Tiny Takeover sponsored campaign, paying Affiliates and Partners up to $1,000 for streaming. Viewers get exclusive chat badges, in-game cosmetics, and Drops. Limited first-come, first-served spots open April 6.

Affiliates and Partners can earn up to $1,000 plus Drops and Badges for viewers!

We’re thrilled to announce something huge for our streaming community: Minecraft is sponsoring their Tiny Takeover campaign on Twitch, and for the first time ever, it’s available to both Partners and Affiliates.

This marks a major milestone for Affiliate community growth. Sponsored campaigns have traditionally been exclusive to Partners, but Twitch and Mojang are expanding access because they believe in supporting creators at every level. Whether you’re just starting your streaming journey or you’re a seasoned pro, this event offers a chance to get in on the action – and get paid.

“This is the first time a sponsored campaign on Twitch has opened to Affiliates at launch. It’s a huge step toward making brand deals accessible to rising streamers.”

What’s the Tiny Takeover Campaign?

Starting April 6th at 9am PT, streamers can participate in an exciting Minecraft‑sponsored campaign and earn up to $1,000. Whether you’re a Partner or Affiliate, this is your chance to get rewarded for doing what you love – streaming Minecraft.

The campaign runs for a limited time on a first‑come, first‑served basis, so early participation is critical. Once you opt in, your channel will feature a special promotional skin overlay that lets viewers know you’re part of the event.

Rewards for Viewers (Drops & Badges)

Viewers aren’t left out. Two tiers of rewards are available:

These viewer incentives are designed to drive engagement and make watching just as rewarding as streaming.

How the Campaign Works (Streamer Checklist)

If you’re a Twitch Partner or Affiliate ready to earn, here’s exactly what you need to know:

1. Eligibility – Stream at least 1 hour of Minecraft gameplay in the Minecraft category on Twitch to qualify for the reward.

2. Availability – First‑come, first‑served. Limited spots, limited time. Don’t wait.

3. Campaign Branding – After opting in via the Sponsorship Portal, your stream will automatically display a promotional overlay that tells viewers you’re part of Tiny Takeover.

4. Featured Placement – From April 6–8, Twitch will run a front‑page shelf showcasing streamers playing Minecraft. This gives participating channels extra visibility and discovery.

5. Revenue & Payment – Revenue for completed campaigns will appear in your revenue dashboard within one week of completion. All campaigns go through moderation before payout.

Why This Event Matters for Twitch Affiliates

Historically, sponsored campaigns have been a Partner‑only perk. By opening Tiny Takeover to Affiliates, Twitch is signaling a major shift in how it works with rising creators. This could be the first of many brand deals that reward smaller streamers for consistent, high‑quality content.

For Minecraft creators, this is also a chance to capitalise on one of the most viewer‑friendly games on the platform. Minecraft consistently ranks in Twitch’s top 10 categories by watch time, and adding a financial incentive could push it even higher during April 6–8.

Ready to Join? (Call to Action)
